Hi, Grüezi! In today's blog, I will be talking about our third assignment, which involves creating an AR/VR integrated worksheet. What is AR and/or VR, you might ask. Let me explain these terms quickly!

What is AR?

Augmented Reality (AR) refers to the real-time integration of digital information into our environment. It overlays content onto the real world. By overlaying content onto the real world, it enriches our perception of reality.

What is VR?

Unlike AR, Virtual Reality (VR) fully immerses us in a digital world by surrounding us with a headset or VR goggles.


How can we use AR/VR in the ELT context?

I think using these technologies enhances the learning process for learners, as it can be personalized and paced up or down according to the students' needs. It creates a stress-free, motivating environment for the students. Integrating AR/VR into the worksheets makes the homework/activity part less boring and more fun!

I grouped up with Halil Turan, Mert Şen, and Sude Seven for this assignment. It was a new experience for all of us, so I need to say that I was confused at first. But thanks to my group members, I overcame this obstacle! You can find their blogs below. I also added the first drafts of our worksheet and ASSURE plan. I will be updating them after our feedback session. Stay healthy!

Welcome back, farmers! I mentioned earlier that I would update my blog after getting feedback from our classmates, and here I am. To be honest, I was not feeling my best when we worked on this assignment, so I am a bit disappointed in myself, but do not get me wrong. I am proud of my members and our work! I just feel like I could have done better (okay, Ms. Perfectionist, we hear you, tch!).

What is new?

Well, we did not change a lot. Some minor changes needed to be made. For example, we wrote France instead of Paris -even though we prepared a Parisian tour-. We worked on our questions and prepared two factual and two personal questions for each activity. We added a warm-up activity to our handout. Yeah, I guess that is all. I added the finalized versions of our worksheet and ASSURE plan to the buttons above!
