Spill the TEA ep.1

HELLO, my dear farmers! Finally, midterm week is over! So, for our ICT course, we had to create a podcast (and not gonna lie, this was one fun fun.) My friend Sude Seven and I teamed up and made a vox pop where we wandered around our campus asking students one simple yet very defining question.

If I had to describe our process in one word, I would say CHAOS. Coming up with an idea for our podcast was super easy, as coffee is basically a university survival tool. But recording? Since it was our midterm week, it was IMPOSSIBLE to catch the students and get them to answer our questions. We ended up talking to 10 students, and got everything from tea and iced latte to "blueberry boba cool lime." I still don't get the hype behind boba and never will. You could see each individual's personality shine through their orders. I was very intrigued by the sound of 'pistachio iced latte'. (except the fact that I am highly lactose intolerant.)

"Would I give this task to my students?"

Since it encourages students to be active and creative, as well as letting them improve their communication and editing skills, I would 99% give a task like this. Sure, it has its challenges (like technological problems, background voices, mic-shyness, or anxiety in general), but the benefits make it worth it. Creating an environment that allows you to work with your classmates, helping with your confidence, and digital skills, all while being fun? Count me in!
